THE SPECTRUM GAMES DATABASE CERIUS PUBLISHER Atlantis AUTHORS David Shaw, Adrian Shaw amd Graham Shaw - The 'Shaw Brothers' YEAR 1988 DESCRIPTION Shoot-em-up, an Exolon clone, involving making your way across a flip-screen landscape frought with numerous hazards. CONTROLS O = Left P = Right Q = Teleport M = Fire A = Bomb H = Pause Or use Sinclair Joystick. INSTRUCTIONS You basically have to make your way from left to right, screen by screen, destroying obstacles that get in your way and the flying nasties. The screens themselves form a simple maze, and going one way rather than another (decided by what height platform you are on) may result in an easier or harder route, or a dead end, and you also have to collect the code letters, as the game asks you for the 4-letter code at the end of each level. HINTS/CHEATS >From Sinclair User, No.76 (July 88) "Learn to use the transporters efficently, both to find your way through the maze and to avoid approaching missiles. If you get stuck, make a map and find the ARMOUR pod which allows you to destroy the guardians. Don't waste smart bombs early on in the level; you should be able to get to the end without using them, and you may well need one later" The exit codes are: Level 1 - EXIT Level 2 - THRU Level 3 - AMEN >From Crash, Issue 59 (Dec 88) "When entering a room with a guardian on the same platform, shoot right away. Also do this on the last screen." RELATED GAMES The Shaw Brothers have written plenty of games for Atlantis, a lot of them very competent and playable.
