DIGGER DAN

"DIGGER DAN", its program code, graphic representation and artwork are the

rights reserved. The object of the game is to help "Dan" dig his way out of
trouble avoiding the monsters which constantly pursue him. This program runs on
any ZX Spectrum

LOADING
Position the cassette in your tape recorder with the printed side upwards and
make sure that tit is rewound to the beginning. Ensure that the connection lead
goes from the EAR socket on the recorder to the EAR socket on the Spectrum and
that the MIC socket is disconnected.
Type LOAD "" < ENTER > [Note there is no space between the two quotes.] the " is
optained by pressing SYMBOL SHIFT and the P key simultaneously. For further
instructions consult chapter 6 of your manuel. Now press PLAY on the recorder.
The screen message should appear and the game will load automatically. If this
does not happen try adjusting the volume and the tone controls up until loading
takes place. At the end of the loading process follows the screen instructions.

PLAYING
You are "Dan" and armed with only your trusty metal spade must avoid being
gobbled up by the monsters. As the game progresses the beasts become smarter and
hungrier and you must concentrate harder - Remember to fill the holes and bury
them. Keep calm and above all don't panic!

STATUS AND SCORING
On screen scoring gives current score, hi-score, and a number of lives left.
There is a Hall of Fame and a bonus life at 5000 points. There are 4 types of
monster and the points awarded for each is
10 Easy
20 Harder
30 Fast
40 Smart

CONTROLS
"Dan" moves by the following keyboard controls.

Q - Up		O - Left
A - Down	P - Right
D - Dig		F - Fill
