The Microdrive File Kathleen Peel with more on Sinclair's Microdrive. [ This article was, evidently, one part of a series on the Microdrive. Only a small part concerned the program which was printed with it, and that is the only part that is reproduced below. Note also that the program does not, in fact, deal with Microdrives at all. It does require an Interface 1 to be connected, though, because it uses that device's features to handle the extended syntax. Note also that, due to the fickle nature of this device, the command described might not work unless you *first* use any of the Interface 1's own extended command and only then install the new one. ] This month I have produced a very simple "memory free" command that will enable me to explain two of the problems encountered in producing this type of command as opposed to the graphics command of the previous article. I have chosen the command PRINT * to provide the 'memory left function'.
