Methyhel - The Spawn Of Satan David Hamlyn arrived at the offices of 'Sinister Investigations Inco' after receiving an urgent message from his friend and colleague Professor Jack Slaine. He entered the office only to find it deserted and lifeless - an eerie silence hung over the empty room. David surveyed the room with a critical eye. It was dark but the new moon bathed the room with an almost milky white light. David saw nothing unusual. The Professors ornate desk dominated the room. David approached the desk and switched on the table lamp. The desk was cluttered with a pile of large grey folders. David sat in the large comfortable leather chair and pulled the top most folder towards him. A sudden chill overcame him. He felt nervous, no scared!! Over on the far side of the room was the door to the computer room. It was closed. David stood and went over to the door. Grabbing hold of the handle he turned it. The door was locked!! He leaned forward and pressed his ear against the door. He heard nothing!! Thinking nothing more about it he returned to his seat not noticing the shadow moving across the bottom of the door behind him!! Printed in large black letters on the folder was the legend, "METHYHEL". Opening the folder David found an official looking file, some reports and a small diary belonging to the Professor. An irresistable urge overcame him. Compulsively, David opened the diary and began to read..... "It all began on the morning of November 19th. We had successfully completed the Ringmore case and I was busy putting together my reports when the postman arrived with a telegram for me....."
