**YATZEE**

INSTRUCTIONS

To load YATZEE enter LOAD"" and press the
ENTER key.

When loaded the program auto starts and
instructions for playing and scoring are presented
on the screen. For your convenience these are
summarised below.

This game can be played by up to three people or
two people and the Spectrum. Each competitor is
asked to enter their name before the game starts.
You can then select the type of competition:
A fixed number of games, press F and then enter
the number required;
First to a set score, press P and then enter the score
target required;
Unspecified, press U, to play single games.

For the game there are 5 dice lettered A B C D E,
these are displayed at the bottom of the screen
below the score chart. At each turn each person is
allowed to roll the dice 3 times. On the first roll all
the dice are rolled, for the second and third rolls any
number of dice may be held by entering the letters of
the dice to be held. After the first and second rolls,
in addition to holding dice, you have the options to:
press 0 to score; press I for instructions; press Q to
quit; press enter to roll all the dice. You must select
a scoring option after the third roll. To score simply
enter the numer of the scoring option that you
require.

SCORING
There are 13 scoring options, numbered 1 to 13, to
choose from. Each option can only be used once
during each game.

Option   Description                            Score

  1      score = sum of all 1's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 5

  2      score = sum of all 2's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 10

  3      score = sum of all 3's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 15

  4      score = sum of all 4's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 20

  5      score = sum of all 5's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 25

  6      score = sum of all 6's showing on
         the dice                               0 - 30

  7      3 of a kind, score = sum of all 5
         dice                                   0 - 30

  8      4 of a kind, score = sum of all 5
         dice                                   0 - 30

  9      full house, 3 of a kind plus a pair      25

 10      Yatzee, 5 of a kind                      50

 11      short run, a run of at least 4 dice
         eg. 2345                                 30

 12      long run, a run of all 5 dice
         eg. 23456                                40

 13      chance, any combination,
         score = sum of all 5 dice              0 - 30

Bonus points, at the end of a game if the sum of the scores
for the first 6 options is equal to or greater than 63 then a
bonus of 35 is awarded to that players score.
