Is there anywhere which lists graphics for the control characters? That is, the ASCII Control-C0 range — characters 0-31, and probably 127 — not the ANSI Control-C1 range from 128 to 159,

For instance, Ctrl-G would be an actual bell rather than the letters BEL, and Ctrl-M would be a "down-then-to-the left" arrow.

Hi everyone and welcome to the September 2017 edition of the Which Is Best?
Last month I placed two iconic classic arcade games against each other asking which in your minds had the biggest impact on video gaming, they were Space Invaders and Pac-Man, I can now reaveal Space Invaders defeated Pac-Man by with 20 votes to 13.

This month I'm going to place two Amiga A500 pinball classic tables side by side,...Nightmare from Pinball Dreams against Stones 'N Bones from Pinball Fantasies (Slam Tilt's Demon table will not feature as it's AGA and would hold unfair advantage), which do you think is the better table when it comes to music, effects, playability, smoothness and enjoyment and of course creepyness?!, only your votes will determine that,...happy voting! :-D
My vote: Nightmare

P.s, I added a couple more balls on Dreams and I disabled the ball loss on Stones table so I could show more of the games including the Grim Reaper bonus on Fantasies.
My official legit score using 3 balls on Nightmare is 296,667,619.
I've always liked cooking manly stuff like chilli, curries, roasts, BBQs etc but recently (and, in no way related to Mary Berry and the 'popular' tv shows etc) I've been trying my hand at a bit of bakery.

Recent efforts have been cookies and chocolate-coated flapjack. Easy stuff to begin with, but I'm loving it. I normally don't really have a sweet tooth, but I'm finding it a great way to relax after work. My girlfriend is loving it and I'm taking my bounty into work and they love it too.
I'm looking to move into pastry soon.
He intends to raise $200,000 (£150,000) to launch a satellite into space to prove that the Earth is indeed flat. Personally, I wouldn't have thought that $200,000 would be anywhere near enough for anyone to buy (or build) a satellite and then launch it, plus can you actually have a satellite (in it's strictest sense) if the Earth really is flat? I mean, a satellite orbits the Earth since the world is spherical, if the Earth is coin shaped then it's gravity* wouldn't cause anything to orbit, I'd have thought.

* Believe it or not, many flat-Earthers think gravity doesn't exist, and say that what we call gravity is actually the effect we feel because the Earth is moving constantly 'upwards'. Some even believe that the Earth is hollow, and aliens or intelligent non-humans live there. And no, I'm not making any of this up.
I'm wondering what to do with the shadow that turns into humanoid form? It/he is in the north of the Desert and disappears within a few seconds. I've tried leading him to any obvious items nearby without any results. What am I supposed to do with this person-thing?

I just remembered (in conversation with someone earlier) that I read some time back that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act made it illegal to reverse engineer any software that you don't own the rights to. Is that legally true? I know it makes it illegal to reverse engineer specific software, i.e. anything relating to protection (such as the must-only-accept-genuine-commercial-discs software protection in a games console), but does it also prohibit anyone from say disassembling a game to find out how to add infinite lives?

If anyone can jog my memory it would be good.

It was shown on TV either late 80's or early 90's but it was a repeat then, I seem to think it was made in the 70's.

The basic 'story' was a group of 3 or 4 people who were on some kind of spaceship or something similar , divided up into different "zones" (best way I can describe it, sorry!) and each week they had an adventure in a different "zone" , they all seemed to be like independent communities unaware of each others existence.

I do remember some vague "computer terminal" with a face on it that provided nonsensical help to them or something like that. Not sure of country, as I say its been years since I saw it I'd guess something like S.A or possibly cheaply made US.

Any thoughts ? :)

I remember seeing 'bezt film evaaar' Citizen Kane at the cinema when I was at uni and being bored out of my mind.

its just got me thinking...The oldest film I genuinely find really good is Psycho, which is 1960. that probably makes me sound like an uncultured twit but I cant think of any earlier ones Id happily sit through again. then again my film knowledge is patchy as heck

saw another 'classic' Gone With The Wind a while back and that was just like some random olden days chick flick...

Best frozen ready meals ?

On the whole who's frozen ready meals do you recommend ?

For reasons I'lll not really go into, the fresh ones are not too practical as I need something with a longish life. I have browsed (and ordered a few times) from supermarkets as some are too far away (no wheels currently) but each does vary in what it offers both its own branded bits and various 'major brands' , for instance some online supermarkets only stock a few (different in each it seems!) brands of the Bisto ready meals and such...

I do need things that are microwaveable though rather than oven, which is a shame as there's a few that state oven only unfortunately.

Regarding meal 'content' as long as its not got any cheese, an excess of "wine gravy" (yuk) or is too heavily tomato based (can't really deal with tomoto's upset my stomach a bit, shame as it rules out quite a few soups) its OK. Not fussed if its vegan or meat based I'll eat most meats.

Bear in mind anything I order will be online so that rules out things like Co-op / M+S / FarmFoods / Aldi as these do not appear to have online food ordering that I see.

Thanks for any recommendations / things to keep away from. :D

EDIT... I have added a bit more information.

I've often thought about making a video of selected high lights from movies that may have sucked in all other respects but had at least one good bit.
I already mentioned two parts taken from Dambusters and here's a couple more.
Coneheads the movie - the bit where father conehead lights off what seems to be a pathetic firework
Beverly Hillbillies movie the bit where Jed is giving the finger unwittingly to L.A traffic and some bozo points a handgun at Jethro who shows him his shotgun "Waal thats right pretty son, this heres what I carry"
The chariot race from Ben Hur

I could probably come up with quite a few more film highlights - but what about you?

So, here we go again, me posting for help about buying something. Shame you guys ain't on commission :))

Anyways. I've pretty much chosen everything I want (or need, I'll probably upgrade the gfx card at the start of next year but it'll still be an Nvidia one) but I was just wondering about the PSU. Here's what everything is:

AMD FX-6 Six Core 6300 Processor
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler
2 x 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Memory
120GB Solid State Drive
2TB SATA Hard Drive
Novatech ATX Gaming Case
Radeon R7 370 2GB GDDR5
Novatech PowerStation 500W PSU (Non Modular)
GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P AMD 970 (Socket AM3+)
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 950 XTREME GAMING 2GB GDDR5
Seagate SSHD 500GB Hybrid Drive
NO OPTICAL DRIVE REQUIRED
Windows 10 for high end devices

So, is a bog standard 500W PSU enough for that? There;s a £37 difference if I add the next one up (Novatech Power Station Black V2 Modular 750 Watt PSU)

I've repeatedly been told that Pixar's movie The Incredibles includes a Pizza Planet truck (one of their standard in-jokes). It definitely includes A113 (another in-joke) at least twice, but I can't find the truck!

Any idea, anyone?
