I originally bought it because Terry Gilliam has made a movie of it, which should be out during the summer. If you like Gilliam, then you will like this.

Dear Albert Antics,

I watched your roadshow in my youth, and I feel I must take this opportunity, before I crash out asleep Xmas eve afternoon, after delivering the Royal Mail for yet another Xmas, to point out something in the lyrics which has always bugged me...

ahem - if memory serves, it went something like this -

"I don't want to be pedantic
but, it's a truly Grand Britannic Antics Roadshow"

Well, it wasn't. It was based in Mersyside, so it wasn't Grand Britannic, it was far more localised.

Still, Albert Antics was better than Wizadora and the Chuckle Brothers any day of the week.

goodbye
thx

----

alotugh, I did prefer Wizadora when it was Wend Van Der Plank

I've just opened a large (800g) box of Coco Pops which has a rather fab little "character torch" in it.
There are 4 to collect - each of them projects a stencil image of either Coco Monkey or one of his jungle pals onto the wall or whatever you shine it on.
You may think that such an object has rather limited uses (it's certainly no good to be used as a proper torch), but the blurb on the box states that you will never get bored of it - fact!
The torch actually contains two cell batteries, which are perfect to use in a Nintendo Game & Watch.
Unfortunately, presumably to stop little kids swallowing them and thus conforming to EC standards, I would have to smash the torch's clear plastic casing apart to get at them.

Anyway, to get to the point, I was wondering why these freebies are usually to be found inside the inner bag, whereas this one was outside the inner bag (but still inside the box).
The boxlid states that the freebie can be found either inside or outside the inner bag - I'm just wondering why this should vary from box to box.
I'm also wondering how they ensure that each box of cereal contains exactly one freebie (not none or two).
Has anyone here ever found their cereal freebie to be missing  or been lucky and found two in one box :D ?

I just got "Aeon Flux - The Complete Animated Collection" and have to say I love it!

This is one of very few cerebral cartoons I have seen. I did not see the show when it originally aired over ten years ago but I am glad I caught a couple of the episodes on TV a few weeks ago. The complexity* of the storyline(s) and the philosophical discussions are superb.

My fave episode would have to be "Utopia or Deuteranopia" ... or even "End Sinister" ... or maybe the pilot ;)

I have not seen the movie and I know it apparently isn't doing all that well but I am going to get it on DVD as soon as it comes out. The movie is probably too intellectual OR it may have too much action for people to want to see it. I honestly don't know anything about the movie and am technically just making things up ... but if it's anything like the cartoons then it's definetly worth seeing, especially since Peter Chung (creator) is involved with it.

I've seen each episode 3 times now and I think I will go watch them again!

At 5pm I shall order a delicious chicken curry and fried rice (or an equally delicious chicken chow mein) from my local chinese, then later I will go for a few pints of Guinness and a few games of pool in the local avec mes amis.

Life is good.
