hi there,

just wondering if anyone had a spare kempston adaptor they wanted to give a good home?

i will pay a couple of quid + postage for it, and would also be interested in a +2A / +3 PSU, although i realise the likelyhood of anyone parting with this is much rarer.

the thing is, my +3 has just died, and i havent time to work out how to fix it atm, and my +2A psu is lost, and so needs replacing anyway.

this whole thing is being done because of a speccy score competition going on here: http://retrogamingscoreboard.frih.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=219 (all are welcome to join btw) - i was going to play on my +3, but can no longer. :( instead i would use my speccy + , but cant plug a joystick in, and i've always wanted a kempston adaptor anyway.

i trundled through my loft looking for either a kempston (think they all go chucked out) or the psu, but to no avail. however, i found some amiga stuff if anyone fancies a swap. some lowly 1/2 meg Simm chips, kickstart 3.0 roms and a cd32 (sx-1) expansion module for anyone interested.

anyhoo. thats all for now. any offers etc appriciated thanks.

Interstellar Intrigue was a type-in in a magazine. My father typed it in (apart from me discovering later it used UDGs, he got it right).

It was a game for multiple players, involving moving their coloured arrows around to attack stars - the number of stars held was equal to the number of moves they got each turn.

Unfortunately, I have not a clue what magazine it was in. I can only confirm that it must have been in a magazine in 1984 as we did not get a Spectrum until December 1983 and we were definitely playing Interstellar Intrigue before we moved house in December 1984.

It was a brilliant game of strategy and I think it would be much appreciated if we could obtain it again.

Forum Guidelines

*GUIDLINES OF THIS FORUM*

The following guidelines are designed to make your WoS experience more enjoyable.

*MOST IMPORTANT: POLITENESS*

These are "family-friendly" forums visited by people of all nationalities, races, ages and backgrounds. These guidelines (and especially the ones politeness) are intended to maintain this "family-friendly" atmosphere.

* Keep the tone and content of your posts respectful and polite (even if you're angry about something).

* Rudeness has no place on these forums. Friendly banter is a part of WoS, but please don't post something you wouldn't say to a friend.

* Do not attack, harass, threaten or insult other forum members, either in public or via PM.

* We all swear every now & then, but please try to keep it at a minimum. Remember - there may be children watching.

*THE OTHER GUIDLINES*

A) No private message spam. No affiliate links.

B) No information about how to obtain unlawful copies of denied games. Click here to find current copyright status.

C) Discussions of religions or religious philosophies, cultural differences, sex, sexual orientation, freedom of speech, politics and governments tend to end in flame wars and trading insults. Please remember that the majority of these discussions end up being locked.

D) No racism. Again, friendly banter is a part of WoS, however, directly insulting someone because of their race is not acceptable.

E) When in doubt, DO NOT POST!

F) Finally, ignorance is no excuse. It is a requirement of Forum participation that all members read and agree with these guidelines. It's a total waste of time saying "I didn't read them" after an issue is raised!

Can anybody help me with this? I've been after this issue for a while. If I could borrow it to scan, then I'll send it back to you. It has the Jupiter Ace benchtest in it, which we want for the Ace archive. The whole of the mag would be scanned and uploaded to the WoS archive. So, if you have this copy can I borrow it please?

Thanks in advance,
