Conceptual differences between Speccy and modern PC

I'd contend that there's no 'conceptual' differences really.

Both systems are just Turing machines, albeit with a finite tape length.

It's just that the modern PC's 'tape' length is longer, and the 'tape head' moves a bit faster.

Now of course if you want to talk about practical differences, design differences, or even aesthetic differences then that's another matter all together, but I find do those issues interesting too.

Funny, but even newer cheap PC keyboards use same membrane as Speccy.
