Just watched JARHEAD

An interesting take on a war film. Some genuinely funny moments in it. Slight change to the norm.

Hard to say too much about it, without spoling the film.

It's about marines in the USA, who are sent to the Gulf War in the 90's, and about a group that are in a sniper regiment.

    Yeah thats one film i really want to see, love war films and this one seems quite an interesting one

    Yeah i watched this the other night too, very interested and a change from the usual 'Gung-ho! Americans are the best we never fail! Life would not exist without us...' garbage that's usually put into war movies about the Americans, especially ones made in hollywood!

    That's because Jarhead was directed by an Englishman.

    I haven't seen the film yet, but the book it was based on is really good. I'd highly recomend it.
    Apparently the film deviates a lot from the story in the book, but Im glad to hear that it's still good.
