Ever thought about who you bid against on Ebay ?
There is an interesting auction on my watch list at the moment.
The Book, The Sinclair Story

I was willing to go quite high on this as I would like to read it for myself in addition to the collecting angle.
So I come in with 2 hours to go and find its gone up to ?26. Too high for me. I don't want it that badly.
I might have gone to ?30 as it looks in exceptional condition but I had a look at the leading bidder revcyrilblack.
Who that ?. Nobody I have ever seen before but good feedback. So I had a look at what he has bought before. Every single item except one were books with the same subject matter. Corporate historys. He(?)had bought stuff from the states and everything was in very good condition, he also payed expensive if he needed to.
Right, not getting into a bidding war there then.
So the Rev Cyril Black is collecting these books. Why ?. To write a might seminal work on corporate history from the santuary of his idilic village vigerage ?.
Then there was the one "odd" item.

As you can see its not really what I associate with men of the cloth.
However a quick google on "Rev Cyril Black" turns up a nice link.

And as you can see "Cyril" Shaw on drums. Not a great leap From "Rev Black and the Rocking Vicars" to the "RevCyrilBlack" ebay name.
I have now rebased my theory that the bidder is in fact a 60+ Rock and Roll hero who is writing a mighty seminal work on corporate history from the santuary of his tour bus.
Any other suggestions ?.
