Probably the same as any city, if you dont know the good places to go to and have a boring night out or bad experience you'll leave thinking the entire place is terrible.
Just came back from Sheffield the other weekend, some parts of the city were terrible but some very nice bars/clubs if you can find them.
Keep on going down south and its even worse. I do like London but some of the prices etc are stupid
Worst thing i hate (happens in most big pubs/clubs) is when youre off to the loo and theres some bloke sat there working trying to give you a towel/aftershave and expecting you to pay a few quid or something. Just want to visit the loo in peace !! Paying for overpriced drinks is one thing, having some bloke in the kazi trying to charge you for water/soap is another.
the toilet thing tried to take off in yorkshire, but no one gave the guy's any money so they soon stopped. i guess it's a big city thing, i went to edinburgh and nearly had a heart attack when i saw that fish and chips cost the best part of a tenner.
but i mean a mars bar is a mars bar, how can it possibly cost anymore. the girl in the petrol station might have spoke posh, but she still looked rough as a dog's left bollock.

I lived in Cambridge for three years but never managed to find any good nightclubs. There are some good pubs, I suppose, but they're all expensive for what you get. On the other hand, some of the colleges have nice student union bars if you can blag your way in.

just been down this weekend. I must say it was probably the most dissapointing place i have ever been to.
The one time I holidayed in Ibiza I met a girl who was from Cambridge; she was the most god-awful one-night-stand I've ever had. Luckily I met someone else in the same holiday; I'm now married to her and have a daughter!!
My family and I visited Cambridge for a day almost exactly 20 years ago. Whilst there, I bought Crash (issue 26) with Max Headroom on the cover, and (Konami's) Ping Pong.
That's about the only thing I (somehow) remember about the trip.
This was one of the only full-price games I ever bought on impulse, without having played it or read any reviews beforehand.
It was a fresh release (I'd not seen it in the shops before, and it wasn't reviewed in Crash until issue 28), but I just had to buy it on the strength of the cover art and because the clamshell box would look so good alongside Hyper Sports on my games shelf. :D
Luckily I was very happy with the actual game itself once I'd got home to load it, despite the numerous bugs!

heh, there is a computer shop in a corner of Worthing, with the same staff that was there in the 80's, and if you ask, they still have the old stock out back.
I bought a BBC from the same bloke 20 years later. :D
