Just out of interest, how many companies stated that their product was, "Not just a game, more a way of life" in their advertising campaign? I seem to have heard that quote so many times, I guess there must be at least half a dozen.
Not a speccy game, but how's about the first Shenmue game on the Sega Dreamcast.
They almost came close with that one, seems boring now after 6 years though.
Don't worry. After all, it's not even a Spectrum game
No, I'm looking on a broader scale now :D Can't find any concrete proof of Speccy ones. I thought Deus Ex Machina might be a candidate, but... hmmm, seems not.

Was Stephen Redman someone who was known at the time of this release? C&VG ran a spread about him when ADITL was released and his name is mentioned a la Sid Meier. AFAIA he only ever did that one Speccy game, so why the coverage?!
Comments
An example is in the Crash review

"This is not a Game;" it says on the box... "It's a way of life!"

My games for the Spectrum: Dingo, The Speccies, The Speccies 2, Vallation, SQIJ.
