Guys, why all the hostility ? Just seems a little like people are ganging up on Luca. Perhaps it's that they expect a lot, and are very let down because their applications are renound to be excellent ?

I have to admit, that I dream of the days or seeing Real X, TZX Studio or an update to MakeTZX which would make preservation a little easier. Hehe, I keep having to hassle Mikie to sort dodgy pure tones and that out ;-).

It's just the reality that as time moves on, our time is committed to real life
issues. Look at Jon Needle with the excellent Spectaculator !!!, I use it almost every day long side Spin. He just couldn't put the time in due to personal reasons. I don't think he get's as much stick as Luca ?

Is it possible to release the source of MakeTZX in the hope that we could help develop more decoders ?

I wish we could make some kind of Open source Taper equivelant, and like I've said umpteen times, if I had the coding skills, I'd do it myself, but really, I can only do basic C.

Anyway guys, lets have constructive replies rather than accusing each other of mis-information and false promises.

Best brush my C skills off, and see about updating Samp2TZX.

Let's move forwards, not stuck in the past.

Thanks for all your hard work to date, that's everyone !

Hehe, Arjun, that's what I like, something to diffuse the situation.
Instead of Real *ife could I use 'Real Wife' and not be sued, or does your
    copywrite extent to Real *.*, or Re@l L1fe ;-)

Crap, you realise Steve is going to tell me off, cos i've spent more quota of my time on posting to forums than TZXing... doh the tape monkey is in trouble ;-))))))) Someone throw me a banana...

    Cheers

Because Luca / Ramsoft have made multiple commitments to doing things which they have failed to keep. You yourself have said you are disappointed with the lack of any progress on the TZX format specification.

Anyway, let's move on. I think it is obvious that Ramsoft are either unwilling to or incapable of finding the required time to update the TZX (and RZX?) specifications. I believe there is general agreement for the "next version" of the format. Is anyone with time willing to write things up?

PS: Is the ULA48 document of any interest actually, or is it useless work? (A sincere question, not rethoric)

Any news on this document? I assume it's now been translated from Italian?
I'm even willing to put up with trying to make sense of what Babelfish kicks out from it!

Any news on my last post? :p

Ok, I'll accept that this "ULA48 document" isn't forthcoming.

OOI, RealSpectrum fails fusetest in 128K and +3 modes. Perhaps that's taken priority? ;)

Thats a shame because I would have liked to have read it.

You have a strange perception of time. It's only been a few weeks :p

Martijn, shouldn't you just lock this thread now to stop me doing this thread resurrection business :)
