What is the rarest sinclair item u have ?

edited February 2007 in Sinclair Miscellaneous
For me, its a Sinclair PC200 boxed working and complete, has anyone any idea what its worth ?

I am going to be selling it along with the rest of my spectrum collection, this year probably. Its getting the oomph needed to photograph everything and find out the postage costs.

Not strictly Sinclair, but it's probably my copy of Jet Set Willy from 1983, still sealed with the original Software Projects "security" seal thingy.

I wonder how much my BOX of them - a software projects box - is worth then?

I've got a bunch of interface 2 cartridges and an interface 2...

Of course, I've got more things that are just way too ubiquitous.... For example, I've got a whole corner of my office devoted to silver sincalir tranzam cassettes.... Can't even give the things away! ;-)

    Oohhh.. Now I feel bad...

Neither (allegedly) was the silver "Sinclair" Tranzam...

It's a common "want to find" item on here...

Not a very good welcome to the forums.... Sorry :-(

Ah, my mistake Andrew. I didn't spot you had said "silver Sinclair" Tranzam!

On topic, the only Sinclair item I own currently is Jetpac on cassette.

I do own several rare BBC micro games though. (e.g. Cosmic Battlezones)

I have two of these one with base unit and monitor boxed the other just the base unit boxed, got them both off ebay UK and I think the all boxed one cost me about ?30. The other was less than ?20.

However one thats just being (been ?) sold on ebay was at ?51 last time I saw it. Can't remember if it was boxed.

My sealed JSW isn't worth that much, according to past auctions on ebay. But it's still the rarest sinclair item I've got.

If you have a Plus 2 (grey) or 128+, if it's very cheap, I'll take it off your hands (if possible please)

I know a PC 200 sold on ebay just recently for 300 quid, unboxed. Quite a tidy sum. If you do a search for PC 200 in completed auctions you'll see it. Item number is 220004245981.

at the moment my two rare items are

mint boxed unassembled ZX81 kit - for sale by the way now!

    and

codemasters CD rom compilation, near mint with that loading casette and joystick dongle thingy - also for sale :-(

(only added the sale bit as i'm emigrating to Oz before the end of the year and it all has to go!)

I've got a rare French version of Impossible Mission (US Gold). Unfortunately I lost the box a long time ago but luckily the tape still remains. I also own the Bug Byte version of Manic Miner with the alternative cover (picture here). I have two versions of Combat Lynx (Durell). The cover is slightly different on the second one where it lists the joysticks it supports on the front of the box. Does anyone know if the first one (without the joystick information) was an early or pre-release version that was quickly replaced?

How much for the Codemasters CD-ROM?

I don't have any of my old stuff anymore (it all went to my cousins son) but I would have thought my boxed complete copy of Rebelstar Raiders would have been fairly rare

other than that I'd have loved to own a complete setof IF2 cartridges

    Holy 'kin cow!!

Lotsa great items on here people.

I do have an incomplete boxed Midi Music Machine by RAM. Missing mic, but I intend to use it not sell it. (Though I would sell the box!!) Blurb on box says "The complete home computer music system"
    ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/hardware-adverts/MusicMachine.jpg

Also an AGF Game Controller Interface. Orphaned. ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/hardware-adverts/AGFProtocol4_2.jpg

Also have a ZX80 and some 81s, unknown condition. No boxes.

Other various black boxes of varying types, some completely un identified.

But yeah mint unassembled ZX81. That's rare. Well done! (Reckon that could beat ?150 on eBay)

The scarey thing is that apart from the PC200 & ZX81, I have everything else people have mentioned!

I also have a boxed MK14 with the manual...

Even the French Impossible Mission? Don't suppose you'd be willing to sell it to me by any chance? It's been complaining about being forced to sleep rough a lot lately. :)

I have a Caithness Glass ZX Spectrum Crystal paperweight. I have just made a video of it and it is in the bottom left corner of this page. "Microdrives in the Sun".

Ooooo thats nice, I would love to see a pic of that, did u get it fom ebay ?, if so can i be cheeky and ask how much ??

I have just about sold all my Commodore stuff, just got a 64 and a 1200 to get rid of now and complete set of bitmap brothers games. Its all just been stored in boxes, i don't see the point in keepin em anymore.

It was given to me as the owner had no idea what it was. I kept it here for a couple of years in the loft until I did Issue 2 of ZX Shed, and put an advert in there. I recognised it and checked.. sure enough there it was.

It's in a safe in Oswestry at the moment until I decide what to do with it!

Probably the rarest item I managed to aquire was my £5 bootfair Z88, after repairing the battery compartment all works fine.

Other than that it would my complete run of Ultimate games including Bubbler and Martianoids (albeit none of the sinclair label titles), and the complete set of Crash with all the tapes etc which I used to build the Dvd all those years ago :-)

Not strictly Sinclair, but I've got a Fuller Box (the version without the speech chip), and a RAM Music Machine, complete, boxed, as new. Oh, and a Multiface 128 with ROM version 87.12 ;-)

I also have a 16k speccy, pristine condition, boxed, looking like it just left the factory. Really nice. Not rare at all, but a beautiful example, even though I say so myself.

My brother is the proud owner of a Sinclair pocket TV, boxed, near-perfect condition. Fully working, but we can't get batteries for it any more :(

Nothing for sale, sorry - I want it all!

Edit - forgot to add the boxed, factory-fresh Interface 1 :)

Edit 2 - and a Cursor Joystick - bizarre thing that is! Dunno if it's rare or not!
