Christ ! First of all i saw the pic and didnt think someone like CornishDavey would be into that.

Then i saw the price !!! Must admit if i bought something like that off ebay i would try and see it first or give the money in person.

He might talk rubbish but hes minted !

If I had £1700 quid to spare I wouldn’t buy a piece of art thats obviously been drawn by a monkey or at least a very slow child.

I have a picture that my 3 year old niece did of an ice cream if anybody's interested. Bidding starts at £1699!!!!

Each to their own I spose'
    Sausages is more important

Crap! I knew I should have saved all the 'impressions' I did as a 5 year old. I was a genius at it I tell you!

methinks i personally wouldn't hang it on any wall in my house, to me it looks like a 4yr old in a playgroup piece of work.... but then art is a very personal thing... sheesh.... who am I to comment - on my walls I've got original cinema posters.... most of my visitors think i'm weird for that -

as for the price, I guess he's bought it as an investment

Heh, so there's more about our Davey than we all know and a 100% record too.

I should say that gives him full jurisdiction to spout off as much as he likes on here. He's earned it. No small time nonsense with our Davey.

Probably bought it to sell on.

    Aahahahahahahahahahahaha. Ahem.
I stole it off a space ship.

I've actually bought a lot of speccy stuff from him over the years and he's a great seller and very reliable. His posts on the forum don't bother me at all really as I usually don't read them anyway. :p

He probably didnt know what he was buying, just stupid enough to part with his money. Its a crap painting (obviously) but folks with dosh have little sense when it comes to real art. :D :D

I like M.C. Escher's work, especially Relativity, Waterfall and Ascending and Descending. They're brilliantly designed (and mindboggling).

I don't think the price is too bad at all.

There is an art gallery in the same block of buildings I am working in this week and the prices for there originals (rather than prints) is not a million miles away from this item.

They sell what I would describe as expensive crap as well but being as I have as much culture as a failed petri dish experiment i'm not really the best judge.

f**k art. whats the point. i didn't spend a weekend wall papering my rooms just to hide the pattern by something.

and what if i buy a 2 grand painting, and then go blind, id certainly feel dumb.

buy a telly, its like a picture, but you get loads of them one after another.

I cant stand this type of art but we all have different tastes, as for the price i've paid over the odds for some things if i really want them or dont want to wait. Nothing like the price of that picture though !

Always the way - The one time we want CD to appear and tell us about this he doesnt ! Might spell for crap but the fella must be making a packet selling those Speccy games ! If he didnt post so much crap though he might get many more customers from here ! He certainly buys/sells a ton of games.

i would spend cash on modern art, like traci emins bed, or that shed boat shed thing. but a picture is just rubbish. not at all practical. its like being married to a beautifull woman, but not being allowed to touch her.

Tracy Emins bed ? I thought that was terrible and a major reason why the majority of mainstream people cant stand this 'new art'.

I couldnt believe it when that duvet she created called 'all the people i ever slept with' or something wasnt blank. The fact she had slept with all those people is very surprising !

it was a nice bed, i could have looked at it a bit, then had a nap in it.

also i could invited girls around to look at my bed and not get accused of being a sex offender.

Saying that i like Tracy Emin. I realise some of my past conquests havent been that ugly at all !

i bet traci emin would be very dirty in bed, and let you blast her in the ass.
