DVD ROMS & regions

Forgive the really stoopid question guys, but can anybody tell me if a DVD data ROM is regionalised like a movie DVD or is it universal like a CD ROM.

    No they're not.

    Only bought movies are region coded.

    Not always. I have a couple of DVDs that are classed as 'Region 0' which means they will work in all areas.

    Or you get the Region 2,4 DVDs like Glengarry Glen Ross.
