That imprint on the back of rubber key speccys

After reading and posting in the composite monitor topic in the hardware section it got me finking, that imprint on the back of the spectrum beside the tv out socket, do you think that at the beginning, sinclair were thinking of having a composite out beside the tv out socket, i would guess it wouldn't have cost that much to implement it, and i realise that back when the 48k was released, there weren't many tellies with a composite phono input but don't you think it would have been worth the small amount it would have cost to put the extra phono on the speccy ?

Maybe this was to accomodate a different design of RF modulator.

Maybe the whole they used for the TV out was a latter addition.

    I don't know I'm just guessing!!

Yeah u r probably right, its just that on the actual modulator in the speccy beside where the composite feed enters the modulator, there is another hole identicle to the comp one so i thought mmm they have designed it to have 2 comp feeds for 2 outputs, comp and tv.
