Trantor

for years I've consider this the best Spectrum Game ever...(mostly the decision was by the looks)

whats your opinion and what other similar games can I play that have the trantor flavour?

I never played it originally, and I'd think I'd have probably enjoyed it more if I had. However, on an emulator (where my patience for games is somewhat less than on a real speccy), I never found it to be all that good. Quite tricky I remember. If I recall, it was another game where you'd die loads before really getting anywhere. Nice graphics though.

I always thought it was a bit shallow. Beautiful sound and graphics though. It's probably the first game I saw on the Spectrum that had a proper 'intro'.

Try "Savage" by the same authors (especially part one).
ZX Spectrum +2 & PicoDiv SD,
    Timex 2048 & divIDE 57c

Dan Dare III (probably more similar to Savage). Also, Survivor (by Topo Soft) always reminded me of Trantor.
