Xevious release date

I swear I played the Spectrum conversion of this arcade classic during Christmas 1986, and there's an advert for it in 1986 Spectrum magazines, but on WOS infoseek it says it didn't come out until 1987. Can anyone else remember playing it the year before, or is mind playing tricks on me (yet) again?

Maybe with no further info, the date is going by the magazine review dates. All the mags reviewed it in Feb 1987:

While on the same subject of game release dates, I'm pretty sure my argument for Xevious stands up for Aliens too. This game was played by myself at the beginning of January 1987, but I think it unlikely that a high profile licence like that would be released at the beginning of the year, yet it also says on infoseek that it came out after christmas. I can't prove it, but I doubt that is true.

I remember getting Aliens as a Christmas present in 1986 (same year the film came out). I wounder if there is some confusion with the release date because there was two different Aliens games (the UK and US versions)?

P.S. the UK version was the one released before Christmas. The US version came out later in 1987.
