Just yesterday Ladderman put up a new map for the game Flak, finally I've found it the worst game I ever owned.

I prompt you to post yours.

my god what an awful game! i remember loading it up and thinking 'cool, looks like xevious' which i loved in the arcade... 5 minutes in the terrible truth dawns on me, what a pile of tripe...

i had it as part of the 'arcade hall of fame' compilation, along with raid over moscow, blue max and rocco (or rocky, whatever). i'm still bitter, i'll never get that tenner back (raid was ok tho, the rest decidedly below average)

Flak actually stands head, shoulders and glaring primary colour 2-bit graphics above Gyron... What's all that about?

    Nut.

Must give Flak another go some day. I have good memories about this game, also from that Arcade Hall of Fame compilation. Maybe it was because it was quite a simple shooter, as I've never been any good at shooters :)

However, I'm surprised its that hated.

It's surprsiing sometimes when you think a game should be universally adored and it's villified. For example, I always thought Colony (Bulldog) and Beach Head 2 were pretty good, but a lot here hate them both.

I have to say Flak was terrible though, I bought it on a compilation, and it's my overriding memory of a compilation of crap games

    apart from Raid over Moscow.

I've never been a huge fan of the Beach Head games. I prefered BH1, but Colony is a great game. Did not know it before I played it in the Tour a few years ago. Its only downfall is that its to easy, but the idea and all is great.

I think Arcade Hall of Fame was the first compilation I ever got or bought (can't remember), maybe that's why I have more fond memories of the games included on it.

I liked Beach Head 1 and 2. I positively desisted Action Biker featuring Clumsy Colin even though, strangely, I so wanted to like it.

Black Hole by Quest, it's still the worst game I ever played on the spectrum..even after 20odd years.

What in the name of ShootemUps is this?! Geeeeeeeeeez... :|

What were they thinking? I know that US GOLD had some very strange choices, but... They had Tapper, for crying out loud... What kind of choice was this?

I also believe that Colony is great (who can say it's crap?! Come on), Beach Head, never played it too much, and Raid Over Moscow was great :)

Renegade 3. worst game ever. Horn and Deakin. You messed up Combat School by ruining the ending and you messed up the best fighting game series in 8-bit history.

    Take a bow, you pricks.

Well the spcrtum version wasn't very good, but Tapper is a great arcade game in my opinion.
