    10000 Spoons jungle mix

currently on the track I think might be urban takeover remix of jungle brothers - true blue (but might be a different remix - any ideas lee?)

    Woo, a listener! ;)

Well I have it tagged as Jungle Brothers "Jungle Brother (Aphrodite remix)" but I think that's the Urban Takeover mix anyway.

However, I've just remembered it's mixed with Mulder's "Don't Give A Damn" which I stupidly forgot to credit on the Mixcloud page - sorry Mulder, fixing it now!

Hey someone knows about Michale Graves! He's cool.... Seems his music has grown with me too cause I was really into the misfits and got to see them a few times with Michale fronting them... now he does more acoustic stuff which suits me as I'm a bit old for punk now... and want a bit more (poignant) peace ! Check out his even more recent album SUPERNATURAL - got some real nice tracks on that one.

I really don't "do" acoustic music to be honest! I've listened to some of his acoustic stuff, but it's just not for me. I far prefer his punk stuff which is stupidly catchy :)

I missed out on seeing The Misfits back then as I wasn't into them at all until it was too late! They were playing London every 6 months at one point and I got into them a couple of weeks after their last London show and they never came back :-(

I don't care too much for the Jerry Only fronted version of the band to be honest. The last album had it's moments. The first 4 or 5 tracks are brilliant but then the wheels come off big style and the rest of it's total crap apart from one track right near the end.

I bought the last live album and that's full of the worst stuff off that album, nothing at all from the Danzig era and only a couple from the Graves era (all of which Michael wrote anyway) and his voice just does't suit the older stuff.

If he was to reform with Graves, Doyel and Dr Chud, then they'll become a must see band for me, but until that day, which is never going to happen anyway, I can live without seeing them live ;-)

yeah i remember some of the older tracks being pretty short, under two minutes

im just listening to some mellow techno / industrial stuff by the founder of hospital records

vatican shadow, all the song titles are headlines taken from news reports about islamic terrorism and related subjects, the track im playing now is titled
"snipers as a breed tend to be supersticious"
theres no lyrics or indeed vocal samples etc its all long, repetitive and pretty laid back but dark and instrumental

I always feel cheated when buying tracks less than 2 minutes in length...

Only realised they were so short post purchase!

How strange! I'm just listening to It's a Shame About Ray! I bought it for ?1 months ago, but have only just got around to ripping it into my iTunes. I've not listened to this since I was in school :D The songs on that are all really short too! Only 3-13 are over 3 minutes in length

  • 35-40 mins is the ideal length for an album.
If I buy an album that's 60+ minutes I know there's going to be a lot of filler on it.

That's when you know you're buying the wrong albums...

Albums should run somewhere between 45-60 minutes, as far as I'm concerned.

Most of my favourite albums are on the long side. I'd feel a bit cheated with a 35-minute album, I'd wonder where side two had gone!

Revolver by the Beatles is the perfect album length. Roughly 35 mins. You can't argue with the Beatles!

yeah like most (all?) double albums there's some filler, it also has tracks on there which I probably wouldn't like on their own (oh bla di oh bla da, goodnight, yer blues) but in the context of the whole album they kind of work imo
