Hello, all..
Looks like Sir Clive's feeling generous - the ABike has had ?100 knocked off. It's down to ?129.

1) You would feel a right royal prat while riding one (C5/Zike/A-Bike)
2) You have to share your world with people in cars, trucks and other large heavy metal things that move at speed.
That bike may work wonders on a smooth concrete floor but I imagine the slightest roughness of surface would wrench the wheel round and throw you off.
Then you would feel even more of a prat.
At that price, I'm tempted to buy a second one. Just to be able to go places with a friend on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Apparently, Mayhem (the UK distributor) has sold 2,200 units worlwide in six months' time. Not exactly a new transport revolution in the making, then, as it is.
But if only a quarter of all former Spec-chums bought an A-bike to support Clive, well, you know, he'd have the money for his new Windows beating super computer he's been talking about for years now...
Very well made, feels very solid, fine to ride. Got to be careful of those small wheels and potholes, but I can take it quite literally anywhere. I actually wish the Sinclair Research logo was a bit more prominent, and not where it might get rubbed off, how sad am I? :)
Considering getting one for the girlfriend since they're so easily packed away it'd make great transport whenever you go away/abroad.
silly:
Whereas riding it is another story altogether. It pretty much looks "metrosexual", so it may be a good or a bad thing depending on how you feel you should be considered.
