Yeah yeah. Let's see if you feel the same way when it's your Learjet license that could be for the chop.

Why did they say "his hobby of flying Learjets"?

Surely it would have been enough to just say flying?

It's like saying "I like extremely expensive and very exclusive restaurants" instead of "I like restaurants".

Dunno what his wife looks like but I woulda spent the 6k on an new set of 'toys' on her rather than my eyes....still he probably has done both and had his mantits removed under the '3rd ones free' plan.

Apparently those are the ones he likes. Although he still has the ZX Spectrum rights most of his income is not from computers and electronics but from property and aircraft charter.

I think Cliff Lawson got him into flying.

Still an ugly old twat, would've been better if it had've said "Alans heart attack because of all the sugar........(he's eaten over the years)".
    Every night is curry night!

Oh dear! I quite like him. Apparently, he becomes less likeable the closer you get but while I usually disagree with him his decision to allow free distribution of the ZX Spectrum and CPC Intellectual Property for non-profit is the correct call. Just recently, he's become exceedingly complex.

Here is the old boatrace (face) in action. (They shoot these things so far in advance).

Sir Alan was knighted in 2000 when his pal Lord Levy and Alastair Campbell were running the country. He'd donated loads to the Labour party as he had to the Tories.

Piers Morgan was editor of the Daily Mirror in 2000, where Sir Alan had a column, and he emptied his bank account into Viglen shares before his City editors tipped them in the Mirror. He subsequently asked Nick Hewer Viglen's PR man, who sits to the left of Sir Alan in the Apprentice boardroom to lie about the date of a conversation they'd had about the computer company's prospects.

Guess who was fired for Comic Relief. :-)
