Can anybody help I wish to buy the Diagnostic Board that connects to the I/O strip at the back of the Amstrad ZX Spectrum +2.
Many thanks

Ha ha!! That'll be you, me, Winston and at least 10 other guys on the forum then! :D

Seriously, if I could find one of those - must be as rare as hens teeth!
    Oh bugger!<br>

I know someone who has one and probably will sell it as he doesn't use it anymore!

I think I'll give him a ring tomorrow and then I'll give you guys the Ebay listing and fight for it!

Actaully, I'm gonna make one (at least for the normal Spectrum 48K) - last night I scribbled out a schematic on the back of an envelope. It'll be for debugging Spectrums where at least the Z80 runs and the bus isn't buggered (which is probably the majority of dead Spectrums). Consisting of:

    * 128K flash ROM (Am29F010, since I have three of them sitting here, but I'll design it so it can take 128K - 512K 32 pin DIP flash chips)
    * flip-flop driving 8 LEDs, so the memory test can be completed, and that status can be shown on the LEDs without needing to use screen RAM or the ULA
    * ability to program the flash ROM with a (working!) Spectrum, so you can still assemble it and put programs in ROM even if you don't have a flash ROM programmer.
    * ability to be used as a general flash ROM add-on (jumper to select whether to use the flash ROM on power up/reset, or the Spectrum's ROM on power up/reset, in either case paging in the flash vs Spectrum ROM will be an OUT instruction).
