I liked the episode, but i am now starting to wonder what will happen when RTD gets tired of doing the show he's been brilliant.
I have XviDed all this series and removed all the talkover s on the end credits and added a second commentary track from people involved in making the show ie R T davis, David Tennant Freema agyeman etc if anyone would like em pm me
Not sure what to make of this one. It seemed... dull.
I suspect it was a case of a slow start. The second part looks like it's going to cram-in all the killing and general action that felt like it was missing from part one.
Not sure at all what to make of the Dalek-human thing. I don't care how much "but.. but.. the Cult of Skaro are different" excuse-making the writer has merging with another species is just something daleks don't do.
I suspect the intention is that Sec will replace Davros as a "distinct" human-like leader for the daleks. We'll see.
The Manhatten episode was terrible, after 10 minutes i looked at the tv times to see when it would finish, always a bad sign, i agree with NickH totally boring.

Don't forget "Revelation of the Daleks"! (6th Doctor, 1985)
Davros (or I should say "The Great Healer" as he cannot be called Davros on an open communications channel) is mutating humans (taken from the suspended animation 'morgue' at Tranquill Repose, and the odd living human he offers immortality to) into his new (white + gold) imperial Dalek army!

Yes, but Davros' daleks weren't "proper" true, pure daleks made from end-mutation kaleds which is why the "proper" daleks hated them so much.
musta watched a different episode to a few others.... this was one of my faves of the new-era Who. I just hope it's not like Rise of the Cybermen with a disapointing 2nd half.
i particualy liked watching just 3 daleks glide into place by there console thingey, in a 1960's style. i thought they were wonderfully shot... a damn-site better than they were in Doomsday.
as a rule of thumb, i dont like my daleks impure, but if it works for a good story, what the hell!
does no one else think that this dalek-human thing will see them fighting amongst themselves then?

Camp? He's the whole field :-P
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Glimpsed a few seconds of it as my son was watching, the thought that went through my head was Phantom Of The Opera.
