ZXF11 now available!

To celebrate 25 years of Spectrum computing, ZXF magazine has returned with a special celebratory issue!

Before I give you the link, a couple of points:

1) Since Martijn's away this week I'm hosting the file myself; in anticipation of high demand I've used quite high compression to reduce file size. It's actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would, but I might well upload a higher resolution version to WoS next week.

2) This edition of ZXF will become available as a printed version (high resolution, of course) to buy from www.lulu.com. I'll be uploading this to lulu over the next day or so, but I'll want to see a copy of it myself before letting anyone buy it (and will let you all know when this is possible). Because the printed version will be using a card cover, the inside cover is intentionally left blank.

Download ZXF11 for free here: http://zxf.magazine.googlepages.com/ZXF11lo.pdf

That's it! Enjoy! I'm off to a nice dark place now for a lie down.

Colin

A wonderful issue, and no denying that it's up to the minute, either!

My ego is also suitably fattened...

I'll post the cost tommorrow, once I've uploaded the file to lulu. It's likely to be a little steep, but the good news for Brits is the exchange rate's very favourable et the moment (the cost will be in dollars).

Thanks for all the nice comments guys :)

A great read and just one mistake on Page 9. The BBC was correct in that the 16K machine could be upgraded with a 32K RAM Pack. Sinclair Research never made them but others, most notably Cheetah, did.

I bought one boxed from Ebay which is decidedly odd as I don't have a 16K machine. I must photograph it. It looks like the one in the BBC video.

    Tut, tut. :-)

    (same error as above)

Wow. This be the best one yet. It reminds me of the old Crash mags by design. REALLY well done ! It is being printed on the colour laser here at the office as we speak. A shame there is no HQ version though :( oh well...

I'm still not able to successfully DL the PDF :-(

Yesterday it would only go up to about 450k then it automatically cut off.
Today it barely went over 300k ... :-(

I'm able to DL from other places just fine ... is there some sort of a dial-up discrimination going on here?

    Skarpo
    :-(

Just copied all the text into WP to do a word count, just out of interst. It turns out there's over 18,000 words crammed into those 24 pages :o

That must be why my head hurts today.

Darn it, my lawyer told me to be more careful :)

By the way, it's looking like the printed version will cost around ?5 plus ?1.85 p&p, if anyone's interested. I've ordered my copy and will let you know what the quality's like when it arrives. If it's ok I'll make the mag public and post the link here.
