SpecOS questions

regarding your SpecOS work in progress, will it use The Artist instead of paint and Tasword instead of notepad? and is the GUI based on Maxdesktop? :D

    The Spectrum had its own GUI wordprocessor "The Writer" by Gianluca Carri (Softechnics) and that would be a better substitute for Notepad. :-)

    Was there a desktop/GUI built into the Spectrum ROM? Was the Artist built in? Was Tasword?

    This is going to be an OS. Word Processing and Paint packages are not typically actually part of the OS, but are programs that run within it. If someone wants to write an art package for it, then they can.
