What clues were on the Fairlight loading screen?

edited May 2007 in Games
As stated in the manual of Fairlight there shall exist clues on both the cover and in the loading screen. This might be obvious to some, but I have not played the entire game and wonder which clues is to be seen and what they mean?

Manual:

Loading screen:

On the loading screen at the bottom on the left (near the birds tail) you can see a small room jutting out - this corresponds to a hidden room that it is in the game in the same building.

That's actually Isvar, wearing a cape and resting his sword on his left shoulder.

Above him we may perhaps see two crosses, or swords sticking in the ground. I personally believe these two items to be swords because of their shape.

The old man is holding the Book of Light and the hint in the booklet is that it's hidden in the dungeons, and we are also given the hint that the coffin, or rather the body is potentially that of someone who came before Isvar and that the two are both King Avars.

Another side-note/hint is the cave in which Isvar starts his tale ... it's probably the same cave we find in Fairlight2.

Kenz is also correct and another hint which can be found in the text is the tall tower in the loading screen ... that's where the wizard/monk/sorcerer/old man is "entrapped"

Is that the tower to the right on the loading screen? Is that the same tower that you start next to?

The tower on the right-hand side on the loading screen is the tower you start next to.

The ship in the distance is probably the ship in Fl2. Whether the authors had penned Fl2 by that time I don't know so either the boat was there because the artist put it there as a filler ... or it's there as a hint for things to come in the next game (Fl2).

The text also mentions that only kings can get the Book of Light. To be able to get the book you have to wear a crown.

On the left hand side of the inlay are two bottles and what seems to be a skull between them. This may be a hint of the two monks which have to be killed with the poison.

Oh, and the fact that the monk is holding the Book of Light (light coming out of the book, hint, hint) may indicate that one has to give it to him.

Maybe I am taking this a bit too seriously.

First I just stood up and tilted my head. Then I looked at the loading screen in Paint Shop Pro and flipped it upside-down.

I am starting to think that someone, somewhere is taking someone, somewhere for a ride and a little bit of up-winding! (???)

As an aside ... The inlay for Fairlight 2 has plenty of hidden pictures in it ... love it ... there are many faces and such hidden away.

    Well, let's find them!

    Loading screen:

    ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/screens/load/f/gif/Fairlight2-ATrailOfDarkness.gif

    Cassette inlay:

    ftp://ftp.worldofspectrum.org/pub/sinclair/games-inlays/f/Fairlight2-ATrailOfDarkness.jpg

I see a large face right next to the boy and a small mean-looking face on the three to the right.
