There used to be (in 1968) a pop group called The Spectrum (best known for Heat Wave, not to be confused with the very different one by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas), and since their name happened by coincidence to be the same as the military organisation in Captain Scarlet, they were invited to do the closing title music for that show. :)
