Sources of ZX81 tapes?
eBay seems to be drying up at the moment as far as the rarer ZX81 tapes are concerned... so is anyone aware of any potential sources for ZX81 tapes?
I've already tapped clive.nl, sintech and the Attic Bug don't have anything I need; there are a few on retrotrader.com but they are extortionately priced.
I'm primarily interested in English language tapes, but have started expanding out into French and German ones.
So - any other good sources? Or alternatively, anyone prepared to part with ZX81 tapes for cash? (or possibly in exchange for other tapes from my collection...)
Cheers, Simon

Impressive list! I counted the Timex titles and there are about 20 missing from your list. When I have time I'll compare with my Timex list (at http://www.worldofspectrum.org/timex/ts1000.htm ) and see what I can help you with.

Jack
Yes, I'd seen your pages (thanks!), and have it on my todo list to go through and identify missing titles.
Up to now, I've resisted adding "MIA" titles to my web site as it's really documenting my collection rather than trying to be the authority on ZX81 tapes. Maybe as my collection gets bigger I'll add MIA entries.
I have my own private list of MIA's (with pictures) which I've built up from the eBay auctions I've lost ... :-( A thorough approach would require going through all the adverts and catalogues of the time, and at the moment I expect the list would dwarf my current set of known tapes.

It may be in one of the issues of AlchNews from around 1994. I'll have a flick through them when I get home later to see if they jog my memory.
Probably Peter Liebert-Adelt of ZX-TEAM in Germany. I can no longer find the ZX-TEAM pageson the web, though.

Those todo lists are killers for me. At one time I was going to try to catalog every ZX81/TS1000/Clone program ever made. Sheesh! It's tough enough just getting all the Timex-related stuff. And I'm still not done with that.
Your list is great! I know I have some dupe Timex & Mindware programs not on the list, so when I find those boxes in the loft ......
If you ever decide to do a MIA list let me know and I'll try to help at least from the Timex-related side.
Take care,
Jack

Not sure if you want these or not but pm me your email if you do and ill zip them all up and send what I have to you...should be all of 80k!
At the moment my web site only lists my collection - tapes I own (or recently owned) with .P files generated directly from the tapes.
I do have a program that compares all the .P files I've found on the web with those in my collection, and one day (there's the TODO list again ;-) ) I'll add a page with that information.
