Hmmm Reading.....It's been 10 years since I was in Reading. Had a load of pints of Guiness at a smallish pub called The Moderation. Dunno if the title was an untactful hint towards the patrons to get them to drink responsibly, but it certainly didn't work on me and the motley crew of Geordies I was with. We had everyone from scruffy charvas to long haired yahoos' all getting along with each other (made a nice change, but you know if we weren't all working away from home at the time we'd never have spoke to each other at all, wouldn't have even been in the same bar, and if we had it would've resulted in a big pagga).
Afterwards me and a few of the lads we were working with got Kebabs from a chip shop owned by a Chinese couple about 200 metres down the road from the pub. The rest of the night is a blur. So I obviously didn't have too bad a time in Reading, even though it's notorious for being crap.
As for being there, well I'll go for a pint if you can stump up the cash for a plane ticket back home to England. Heathrow or Gatwick will do as it'll take me less time to get to Reading from one of those two than it will from Newcastle International :D
