Codemasters did a whole slew of them in their time. A pity they're all denied :( That said, if you should ever come across the likes of Seymour Goes to Hollywood, Wild West Seymour, Little Puff in Dragonland, Spike in Transylvania or Slightly Magic, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Have you tried the Magic Knight games? Some of them have elements of Dizzy, as does The Incredible Shrinking Fireman. They aren't Codies games and are available on this site. That's all I can think of for now.

I used to love "Incredible Shrinking Fireman" tried it a while ago and I was pretty poo at it. Was much better as a young un'.

Anyway hows about Heartbroken, that's quite mild on the actual puzzle solving (more of a flick screen platforms and ladders shooter, with many overtones of Ghosts n Goblins) but it is similar to just Dizzy as you have to make things in a cauldron out of things you collect.

Streaker is a good pick up and use the items type game, and it's quite original in the way it plays to a certain extent. This is another one I loved as kid.

Jack the Nipper II: Coconut Capers is a classic platformer in my eyes, it's more an explore em' up action type affair but you do have to collect objects and use them to gain that all important naughtiness, quality stuff!!!

A game that gets slated by almost every Speccy user, and I'll admit it was quite slow back in the day, but it plods quite annoyingly now (speeding up the emu makes it more bearable). But I really liked Dr What when I was about 8 or 9 years old and I spent hours playing it (sorry, am I the only person who (no pun intended) liked this game?).

Any of the Wally week games after Automania, 3 Weeks in Paradise, Everyone's a Wally, Herberts Dummy Run blah blah blah.......

Chuckie Egg II:Choccy Egg.....Sequel to the classic made into a platform adventure instead of a puzzler. Good stuff.

I think that'll do yer for now there's probably about 20-40 hours worth of gameplay there (and I mean that going from start to finish, this lot'll last yer weeks if you don't cheat) :)

I'm playing Chuckie Egg II, but how do you pick up objects using a joystick?

EDIT: Nevermind, it's the "1" key.

Little Puff In Dragonland is a good one - A nice little platformer where you have to help Puff the baby dragon find his way home by collecting the 4 pieces of the admission ticket. A good game, though it could've been better since the programmers made the game devilishly hard by giving you only one life! Bastards!
