Replica / Airsoft / Paintball Gun Ban October 1st?

I've just heard that as of the 1st of October there will be a ban on replica guns, blank firing guns, Airsoft guns, and because the way the law is worded it will effect paintball guns too???

Anyone heard anything about this? I've tried the BBC news site but only find old news stories.

If this is true..... well.... I won't use words like that in a public forum.

    well i dont use anything like those BUT
    ill say again..........i dont put anything past this government (their hearts in the right place) BUT they dont think about things, just ban things on the spur of the moment, dont think things through......half cocked / baked ideas

    I've had some pretty realistic looking water pistols in my time though, so what next armed response units turning up in the middle of the street and pointing real guns at 6 year olds with water pistols.

    What next, pensioners houses getting raided because the butter knives are too pointy. PC brigade gone loopy again!
