    On the 21st September we'll see then. According to the FT today the Dow Jones index is 13,289.29

    If it falls by 33% it'll be about 8904 so if its that figure on 21st September then you are right.

    If it does then i bow down to your great wisdom, if it doesnt you have to stop posting tons of bull.

    I'm a fair bloke, if it does happen then fairplay to CD and i'll give him credit (probably just read the info on some weird website htough) , he seems to somehow know this information. So far from what hes posted over the years its been utter b******s.

    Like i say if it happens then i'll give him credit, however i would like to know his source, probably one of his 'anti-US' crap websites or something. Normally if someone makes a prediction like this they have the evidence to back it up, being CD its probably one of his wacky websites like i say.

    IF it doesnt happen then CD should bugger off with his stupid predictions.

    CDavey does intrigue me though, i mean why the hell did he post his 'dow jones will fall by xxxxxx' here anyway ? Surely he should go to some money market forum and wind them up there by posting his great knowledge ?

    Its like me going to a Cliff Richard forum and starting a new thread saying 'Just beat my score on Chuckie Egg' and then people saying what ?????

    EVEN if the Dow Jones does fall by x amount i dont think there'll be much response here to it. Thats what i dont get, a ton of crap he posts most people think 'what the hell ?'. Surely there are conspiracy forums where the nuts can post all their stuff ?

    Just out of interest I have a load of US Dollars I'm wanting to turn back into sterling.

    The bank's buy back rate is about 2.1 ish so 1 dollar is worth about 47p.

    I'm thinking I should hold of changing it to sterling until the rate is more favourable. Should I hold of or change it now.

    I could listen to CD and change it now but I'm not sure his info is reliable, it's probably been pulled out of some ones arse if not CD's.

    Is there a good free web service that lests me monitor the trends of exchange rates between GBP and USD?? With a graph and all that??

    So its gone down 1.3% not the '33-50%' CD is predicting.

    Cornish please please seriously take a look at this laughable prediction and realise the BS you read online wont come true (You still have 10 days for it to be true so 'perhaps' !)

    Seriously i'm not doing this to score points, i'm trying to show you that the crap you must read doesnt always come true so try not to believe every single piece of rubbish you read. Seriously fella, its not healthy

    I'm not honestly doing this to have a dig at him but i'm genuinely intrigued as to 1) Why he believed what he read on one of the loony websites about the Dow Jones losing a ton, 2) Now that its not going to happen is he not going to believe everything he reads on the loony websites ?

    Its like those cults who believe the worlds going to end on xxxx and then when it doesnt theyre not quite sure what to do with themselves or what to believe in.

    Surely CD has to take these things he reads a bit less seriously when i'm sure time after time as in this example the 'apocalypse' on Wall Street doesnt happen ?

    We all know that he writes utter bollox. It's just that it's usually so esoteric and incoherent that it's not easy to demostrated as such. However, we've now got an easy opportunity to disprove one of his utterances in a totally unambiguous fashion, so we might as well milk it for all its worth.

    Anyway, no rest for the wicked. I must get ready for an important lunchtime meeting with the Grand Wizard. ;-)
