Compendium & Dymonoids by Roger Dymond

edited October 2007 in MIA/STP/SDP
A year or 2 ago I had requested the STP team to get in touch with the late Roger Dymond's parents who had offered to make whatever tapes they had in their collection available for preservation. Did anyone do so?

I note that Compendium and Dymonoids are still MIA so I can only assume that a) no one did, or b) they didn't have them in their collection. If STP is still interested I'll try and get you the contact information for his parents again (I lost their contact details in the great mail program crash of 2006), although I'm not sure if that offer is still open. :)

I'm afraid I'm not sure. I usually leave this kind of PR work to Steve as he's much more diplomatic than I. If you'd be so kind as to re-contact I'd be happy to help out.

    Cheers

I was told to contact some librarian (or whatever) who had the tapes, which I did twice and I never heard back from them again...

That would be Simon Webb, curator of Swindons Museum of Computing. His contact details are as follows:
    ph: 07939 582544
    mail: info@museum-of-computing.org.uk (generic I know)

Perhaps you could try telling Simon that Josephine and Barry Dymond, parents of Roger, asked you to get in touch with them regarding the preservation of the tapes?

Perhaps Geoff Wearmouth could help out here as it was he who originally put me in touch with Simon...
