Reliable Online Speccy Games Shops

edited October 2007 in Games
I was just about to buy something from The Attic Bug and wondered if it's a reliable place to use?

I've had some bad experiences in other online retro stores, so I just wanted to check if TAB is somewhere I should use or avoid?

I know there's a huge list of shops in the "sales" forum, but there's no indication about how reliable they are, and many of the links are outdated so it was obviously compiled some time ago.

I bought a few cassettes from, The Attic Bug with no trouble. Also met 'em at CGE2005. No probs. The main dude is on the forums somewhere :)

I recommend the Attic Bug too. Also retrogames.co.uk.

Yes, it hadn't been updated for a while.
So I checked the lot now and removed the duds.
The reason there's no indication is mostly because I'm not a (physical) collector and hence never bought any Speccy stuff online myself.

Don't worry, I wasn't criticising, just explaining why I brought this topic up. :)

As a major source of info it's actually a good thing you don't comment on particular shops, because it would break neutrality.

    I'm biased. :)

However I must say I have never had any problems dealing with TAB either.

I did look at the Preservation Team Shop as well, they just didn't have the particular game I was after.

    What about retrogamestore.co.uk?

    Anyone used that one?

It seems to be a different place to retrogames.co.uk.

I also have a few programs listed on my own site - whether I am a trustworthy source, I leave for others to say :)

Then might I say that you are possibly the largest software pirater I have ever known in the world? ;)
