Name this Stephen King novel?

In his 1981 book Danse Macabre (a series of essays about horror), Stephen King mentions that he's writing a novel about a man who tries to bring his son back from the dead. Does anyone know what this book is called? And please, no spoilers.

It's part of the plot of Pet Sematary, I've checked Wikipedia to be sure, as I read it more than 10 years ago.

Possibly (I've never read PS, just seen the film), but King says that he heavily researched funeral practices for the then forthcoming book - does this sound right?

IIRC that would be right, all stuff about native indian burial sites is involved. (trying not to spoil)
