Saw the Hammond docu after Top Gear (last ep of the season :-( ) and was disappointed with it.
Sort of a non-event docu really.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

It was a bit sad to see Evel Kneivel looking like such a wreck of a man.
When me & Siouxsie first saw him in the Hummer we thought he was the spitting image of Jigsaw/Tobin Bell.
Turned out to be a dick like Jigsaw aswell, just not as insane

the man has always had an ego like that, always treated people like that, always acted like that.
He may have got old but he was the same old Evel.
He's the MAN, and will always be No 1 in my eyes.
Well said.
He came across as a cock of the highest order, but when all is said and done, it's Evel Knievel!!!. Weigh all that crap up against the amout of entertainment he gave and you have to forgive a certain amount...
When he lead the Hamster a merry chase across a gold course was classic though.
I was sad to see a true icon of my youth reduced to a shadow of his former self, but the way the town he was brought up in appreciated his mere presence was inspiring. Wouldn't *anyone* want that?

I suppose binning yourself on a regular basis really doesn't help you to live a healthy old age.
