MP3 Audio Editors

edited January 2008 in Chit chat
Can anyone here recommend a decent (free) mp3 editor that can remove sections and also split one large file into several smaller ones. I'm recording a concert (Jason Pierce from Spiritualized) off the radio tonight and I'd like to split it into individual songs afterwards.

Necros.

    I use mp3DirectCut: http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html
As the name suggests, it edits & splits mp3 files without import/convert/export process. Also has pause detection.
Not the most user intuitive, though.

I used to use mp3DirectCut until I found Audacity.

Audacity is a lot easier to use. But both are good at their jobs.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.
