Well this thread is proof that even though I'm working again and I do other stuff during the day other than haunting this forum, I apparently still have too much time on my hands (or at least more than I thought).

3000 posts! Seems like it was only about a week ago that I hit 2000.

    ...I thought you was talking about your Tax return as I just finished mine and was about to yell 'bastard!' at you as mine was a paltry $660 :(

    No, I haven't partaken in the wonderous US custom of do yer own taxes yet and not really looking forward to it either :D

    Actually, you don't want to be in a position that you get a rebate: if you do, you've just given Uncle Sam an interest free loan. Ideally, you want to be in the position where you owe a small amount (not too much, otherwise you get penalized) on your tax return when the time comes. Being in the position where you're getting a $3K rebate is almost always a bad thing!

    I know...there are years though I have owed and I would much sooner get some back than owe. Uncle Sam can keep the $5 interest he made off me....Old bushy boy said yesterday he might be giving every one a tax rebate (another one) to put money back in peoples pockets....$800 was banded about so that will be nice if it happens.
