Don't panic! Mix half a chicken or vegetable oxo and half a teaspoon of chinese 5 spice and you'll be there.

i bet they serve you cups on hot bovrill and an oxo cube on a plate, then charge you 100 pounds.

I used to work right next to that... Never ate there.
(It looked like fairly normal grub though - typical London prices.)

typical london prices are crazy. i'm still not happy in the north as the price of fish'n'chips with mushy peas and a pint of stout (usually with a meat pie for the dog) has gone past the 50p mark.

Don't get me started on poncy food, my wife's a chef (as I'm sure I've mentioned a million times before), and I constantly remind her that she should be ashamed of herself for working for such greedy cunts as Wolfgang Puck, and that Shane whatshisface that owns Pied Te Terre in London. I tell her poncy grub is a fucking rip-off.

She tells me I'm not adventurous enough and I only eat crap, well at least crappy food tastes nice and you get your moneys worth.

I tell her nobody wants to pay $80 for a tiny plate with a seared pigeon on it swimming in a moat of dog spunk, with 2 tiny carrots on the side and a pinch of grass on top.

    Bollocks to that!

I heard a rumour from someone who's husband works for Oxo (or whoever owns the brand) that because of all this healthy eating stuff going around, they're having to reduce the salt content of the cubes, only by reducing the salt the taste becomes rubbish so they're having to reduce the sodium levels gradually, hoping no-one will notice the subtle taste changes taking place. Many Bothans died to bring me that information.

Actually it could have been Bisto gravy, but I'm sure they're all in on the scam!

You should watch Masterchef. I'm sure you'd find it very entertaining!

The sad thing is, people do want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for crap food. Give me a curry or kebab and chips anyday!
