How long since the operation? (in my case my cat survived an extra half a year after the operation but the tumour came back :-( )

I'm not sure of the details I'll have to ask the wife.

Have dropped him off to spend a day at the veterinarian hospital.

They will do the following in order to see if they can find out more:
    Blood Test
    X-ray
    Additional x-ray or scan

    Will know results this afternoon.

Vets (at least the ones I've used!) aren't that unreasonable!

Now a lawyer...they'd have a list of charges like that!

I once scraped a poisoned cat out from under a caravan where it had gone to die, drove her to a vet in Ashford, Kent. She was critical and put on a drip and they gave her one to one private nursing... The bill was not far away from a lawyer and right on a par with private healthcare. Vets in this part of France are about a fifth of he cost.
The cat lived and carries on today. She has been badly poisoned again since and bounced off my chainsaw in a shower of fur and been pushed off a high balcony by a visiting toddler, and survived so she must be tough. When we bought our previous house she was there, with her brother, both deserted by her owners who had gone to live in the Isle of Wight.

We have 3 cats but they all live outside. The third was deserted too (as a kitten in the snow by a barn). I don't like cats that much but they choose me and I have mice to catch so we seem to get along.

I think it's important to be aware that death is a natural part of life.
Kids should also be taught this, so they don't get too shocked when their pet dies.
Unfortunately, many people avoid this subject until it suddenly hits them in their face.

He's in a better place now.

Remember all the good times you had with him, and all the happiness he brought to your family.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your daughter doesn't take it too hard, it's always tough on the kids.
