"Gary Gygax is hit for +5 points of damage"

If that statement is true, then he must have been pretty ill to begin with.

    RIP G.G.

Yeah, I am a bit saddened by this.

I never really played Dungeons and Dragons, but I was into loads of similar stuff, the original roleplaying Warhammer, the games workshop stuff. and he pretty much started that whole thing. Read a couple of his books.

And of course, ""they"" who refer to all games consoles as playstations, and all bikers as hells angels, refered to all role playing games as Dungeons and Dragons.

I remember the head master of a local school banned it! This was good news indeed for the newly opened shop, The Crazy Dwarf, nothing like a good banning to get kids interested. :D

One of our religious teachers banned the School D&D club as well! He called us all Satanists and refused to talk to us in class. We all got letters of warning about the evils of roleplaying! :D :D Funny fella.

You were expecting letters warning about the dangers of religion?

Perhaps we should have retaliated with that. Would've been fun to see the outcome. :)

I was in total shock when this came out on Fark.
I had no clue he was that sick. I've been playing for 9 or 10 years now.

    1d6 minutes of silence please.

Patrick Swayze's got to make a 1d20 save roll with a +10 modifier to beat the pancreatic beholder.
