Anyone got tips for toothache :(
as above, Had the mother of all toothache back in August 2004, thought I knew what tootache was until then, and then suddenly realised a whole new level of pain, so much so that I couldn't deal with it and snapped my tooth out myself, still got the root there and after nearly four years the same tooth has kicked in again :( Cannot see myself getting out to the dentist for a few days so wondering if there's anything I can do to allievate the pain, it's not 'bang ya heed against the wal' bad yet but is constant and dreading those sharp sharp violent tinges that invariably come :(
Drank 24 cans so far over the weekend, just to help get to sleep and cope (and planning on listening to some AY Riders You are Adult and Antique Toy music as that helped to perk me up last time)
What's that stuff you use for toddlers, bonjella or summit, would that potentially help? I'd make a big joint but from past experience found smoking dope often just help you concentrate on the pain and makes it worse :(
anyway, any advice is very welcome :) Thanks

Will see if someone can get me some tommorrow :)
thanks again *_+
Aside from that ... go have it looked at ASAP.
Neurofen was the one that did the trick and got to work within half an hour and kept the pain away for many hours. If you've tried them then try a different brand such as Ibuprofen.
oh yes sorry. but weed wouldn't be the answer. ketamin would work much better. :)
(you should never self medicate of course.)
i was gonna mention that, but he's prolly best off on heroin. a couple of hits of that and he'll be fine. the only problem is that it's very moorish.
Might leave him feeling slightly lethargic, too!!
Moorish, as in a bit like the North Yorkshire moors?
Heh heh.
(In an American Werewolf In London Brian Glover accent....)
"Stay on the path. Stay off the moors. Beware the moon." :D
That road is how i thought all northern roads were like ! (being a southerner with stereotypical views on northerners ! ;)
At least they had got rid of the cobbles (probably last year ;)
Each large slow vehicle has an explosive device, linked to a radio. Every car has an 'annoyance' button. When more than 10 cars following the 'rolling roadblock' vehicle have pressed their annoyance button, the driver of the caravan/lorry etc. gets 5 minutes to find a spot to pull over and let the traffic pass. If the 5 minutes expires and they haven't pulled over, their trailer explodes.
Over here, quite a few slow drivers actually do pull over and let people pass...and caravans need planning permission, so you only ever see caravans during the big road races (and those caravans are being driven by competent drivers, and spend most of their time in the paddock rather than on the road!)
How's that for thread drift? From toothache to exploding caravans.
Never liked caravans because of all the times we got stuck behind one ! I wont get one even when i'm 60 !
the new NHS dental charges from the 1st of April 08 will be as follows.
Band 1 - 16.20
Band 2 - 44.60
Band 3 - 198.00
FYI :)
Nah, they still do it. I've literally just been to the dentist (like, 30 mins ago), he looked in my mouth, then looked at me and said "well there's no way I'm prepared to do anything for you via NHS, it'll be at least ?200"!! By which time, I already had my word-hole scraped and pulled and prodded, so I just nodded and let him carry on!! :(
It's alive and well where I live. My family go for a check up and scale/polish every six months and it "only" costs about ?15 each for my wife and I. As mile has pointed out that will increase to ?16.20 from tomorrow.
it was prolly for the best. if you have any doubts, seek some advice from your local PCT.
You're right, it definately was for the best... Been putting it off for a while, had to get it sorted somehow.
I just wanted to pop back on and say thanks for all the suggestions, my mam's got me some Clove Oil half hour ago and been biting down (ever so gently, ouch, hehe) on some cotton wool and it's eased the pain a bit. I gotta phone up dentist at 9 a.m. to get an appointment to get it cut out, can't wait :)
anyway, I know I'm a whinging little bitch, but toothache really is one kind of pain I can't cope with, been awake all night but think I'll be able to have a little doze now that it's eased up a bit, so thanks again :D
Cal... high maintenance biatch, hehe
Cheers mate, good to hear yours is better too. Ain't nothing wrong with moaning about toothache, sometimes it does indeed hurt like hell.
Clove oil is good, but I always have a pack of dihydrocodeine for the occasions I get toothache. I had a bout of severe toothache, a few yrs back and luckily my ex had access to many different types of painkillers, but this was the only one that allowed me a decent night's sleep until I saw the dentist. U need to get some prescribed from a medic, but one pack should last years (unless u are a chocolate fiend and never brush ur teeth:-P )
umm, and that would make you get to your destination quicker how? :D
once the road is full of mangled exploded HGV you aren't going to get through for days :p
Yeah, that stuff hits the spot every time. Watch out with it though, never take it on an empty stomach.... I did once, and I collapsed!!
