Need help with Sirwood.

Am trying to get Opera Soft's Sirwood to work. Or rather I get it to work ... I think ... but what do I do on the first screen with the guy playing the music and the frowning tree and all that?

According to the instructions the keys are the usual QAOP and SPACE but that initial screen doesn't allow me to do anything ... no keys work and I don't have a joystick right now to test to see if it's really a joystick-only game.

    Any help apprecieateatrataeededeadaedddddeeddd.

That game has many parts, the first one you are loading is a demo, you have to reset the spectrum and leave tape running from that moment to load the second part which is the first playable stage.

    Hope it helps ;)

Man ... I've been looking forward to playing this game for a few weeks now and am saddened that it's a bit of a disappointment :-(

It's a tad on the slow side when it comes to responsiveness, in particular when jumping. I think it's because it's attribute spaced jumps/movement so it's a bit jerky in movement.

Sad, as this is a good looking little game ... *sigh*

    :-(
