I think Terminus is alright - for all the crazy backgrounds, all the action is in the open with white sprites. There's only ever the tiniest bits of clash with some of the diagonal walls. Not the best sprite design the Speccy has ever seen, but far from the worst.
always considered the graphics to be quite poor... which is more challenging to any game made after this one, there's no better game, even with better gfx to beat this one!!! ;)
it's simply unique...
Funnily enough, all done by the same guy - Paul Hargreaves.
I guess it was just his style.
He also did the old and venerable Glass :) I must say I quite like the psychedelic appearance of his games, although some of them, namely Headstart/Schizofrenia, Dynatron Mission and Strontium Dog, are not much cop in my opinion.
He also did (The Roads Of) Plexar, which does look quite unlike the other ones. And it's good - a budget clone of Trailblazer!

Not necessarily I think the graphics are pretty good for the time, but I think the game is sh*t
....and I've said that many times before, and survived to tell the tale :p

Though in Plexar I find the Trailblazer-like stages completely unplayable. The floor/ceiling maze levels though are some of the most fun you can have on a Speccy.
I know I'm gonna get stoned here (i.e. "stones thrown at me") ..
Incidentally, whilst im on, I'll cast the first digital stone. -Hey, there's Photorealistic graphics in the Deathchase loading screen if you squint!! ;)

Storm. Awful Atari-style rectangular pixel design. Dreadful.

Worst Speccy game ever. Looks like it too.

they tried to save a bit of time by recycling graphics http://www.lemon64.com/?game_id=2487
notice the spectrum loading screen ? .. and the ingame, they just turned to mono for speccy and tidied them up

It was an utterly awful game as well.

Deathchase graphics are quite good for 1983.
To be precise, Deathchase are quite good for 1983. And made with only 16K!
