Lockett, I feel sorry for you. At least you're a decent guy. (for a Commoder )

    Commoder ....... hmmm

I wonder what is the accepted term for a Comodore Fan, besides the obvious expetives and other rude words that will no doubt have been suggested.

    Commoder

    Commie

    Comodite

    Comodoro

    Comordonian

    Comodorian

    Comodish

    Comish

    Comchum

    C64er

    Cbmer

    Lemon head.

Any more suggestions??? Maybe once we have a suitable list we should poll.

DanSolo is the first obnoxious fanboy flamer I've seen in a *long* time.

DanSolo, not only are a few of us yanking your chain, but we disagree with you, too. Get over it, move on. It's sunny outside, go get some fresh air.

So he's simultaneously a troll, and taking things too seriously. Um, how does that work exactly?

    Flamer != troller.

Edit: for more info, use Google. I just did and found there's far more descriptions about the differences between the two than you could ever need. Short version: Flaming == inappropriately insulting those you disagree with. Trolling == baiting people hoping for a response.

The temptation to say something horrible was almost too much but no you're not, even though I think we may have disagreed in the past, it's all in good spirit usually :D

I dunno why you feel you have to apologise for him though it's not you who's being a dick?

Well, I was apologizing on the behalf of the Lemoners.

    Because 64er is(was?) a German C64 magazine.

Actually, Commodorians has a nice ring to it...although that might unfairly include the Amiga.

If you can't answer my questions I'm a dick? Great logic captain.

By typing your own explanation you have some credibility behind your answer, by quoting wikipedia you're just asking to get flamed.
You can't expand on the 'colour RAM' because you have merely cut and paste from wikipedia instead have an understanding.
If you're going stand there naked before us expect to get ridiculed...

I'm not surprised, for all DanSolo's posing and posturing there was no real substance behind his comments and when asked to backup a statement all he can give is silence.
I don't care if you believe me, but some of us have a life outside forums.
Backup a statement like "what part of what I said is false"? Do I need to back it up when nobody answered that in the first place?
Can I invent a new "rule" like your "quoting wikipedia" one? How about if your name is karingal then you are full of shit? There, now any fact you can come up with is irrelevant.

Isn't there a rule about people using Google to look things up being assholes though, or is that just quoting undenied facts in wikipedia? If you find simple questions make you feel "baited" then, once again, there's a plug in the wall that can save you from more heartache.

Is this post supposed to make me or you look stupid? Does ignoring me and only talking to your bum-chums make you feel like you don't have to address any points I have? You're only kidding yourself there. And if you think I never made any points here...

(and that's minus the groups and ebay data I provided which you will all make excuses for being irrelevant). Where's the equivalent Spectrum list to show "3x" or "1x" or whatever activity?
    Still waiting.

Am I the only one who notices no-one here (except me) actually wants to address the "Spectrum more loved than C64" topic of the thread? Any more "hilarity" about floppy drives or trolls or do you have a list of Sinclair related websites for us to see? Anyone?

    I don't you know.

What a very interesting phrase, charmingly antiquated. Are you or Germanic extraction by any chance? I don't you know either, which is rather a shame - I'm sure we'd get on - especially as you evidently have a lot of great insight to share about whatever it was.

Dan why dont you give up. The arguing is getting ridiculous.

The whole Speccy vs C64 thing has dragged on forever, youre never going to get people to agree with you here.

The Speccy has a lot going for it, as does the C64. Some games on the Speccy are better, some on the C64 are better.

If i start a thread on games which might be better on the Speccy than the C64 on lemon i know even if its 100% better some people wont admit it and vica versa.

Its good fans of the machines are so passionate all these years later but come on !

Sorry, it seems to me all you're doing is being a nasty little git and taking the piss out of people. Hardly addressing the actual topic which, incidently, went something like this actually:

It just occurred to me that the Spectrum must be more loved than the C64 these days.
After all, it has been more than a year since an update was made to either, while the Spectrum still has daily updates to date.
