Arcadia - 2004 Version

edited May 2008 in Games
I lIKE THE MUSIC, THOUGH THE ORIGINAL HAS BETTER KEYS.

THE ZX SPECTRUM WAS ALWAYS GOOD WITH KEY CONTROLS.

WAS THIS PERHAPS BECAUSE PLAYING GAMES WITH A KEYBOARD
WAS A NEW THING.

THE GRAPHICS ARE COOL ON THE NEW VERSION, AND IT HAS
A BETTER STOP WATCH.

THOUGH THE NEW VERSION HAS NO RANDOM FIRE,
WHICH THE ZX SPECTRUM HAS.

    THE NEW VERSION

It's not that new is it? ;)

PeeJay's just putting the polish on a remake of Manic Miner and is in desperate need of graphics if any artists want to jump in and help him out I'm sure he'd be over the moon.

pm him on retroremakes.com if you can help.

Thanks - Arcadia does seem to be a love it or hate it game - personally, I love it, but in the competition it didn't fare too well, largely due to the flaws in the original game design. I really can't take credit for the graphics, as they were largely contributed to by demo graphics supplied with Blitz Basic, and by Google :)

I deliberately removed the "random fire" as I viewed that as a bug in the original rather than an intentional feature .....
