Cheers, Mobile O2 looks pretty expensive and I never go wireless. It's not secure, WEP encryption needs 2GB of transmission before code repeat and crack - wouldn't take long at a hotspot - that's if there is any encryption at all. A lot of hotspots seem to issue a pword but no actual encryption, doesn't sound healthy.
These statements of "fact" can't be justified by me :)
Though the O2 (wired) service seems to get good reviews. Looks like it's BE Broadband badged.
I'm on their Office 5 package, as I work from home sometimes. Been very good, no problems (so far). 1 month rolling contract by providing (or buying) your own modem and UK call centres!
They recently unbundled my line to one capable of ADSL2+ and... nothing went wrong! (Unlike the time Orange tried unbundling my line - I had to pay ADSL24 (to pay BT) to get it "rebundled" again).
